So if you like getting scared a bit and doing some investigating go pick up this game. Without giving away too much more of the game let me say that if you can get past some frustration with the battle system you're going to enjoy what this game is able to dish out for you. Another addition to the game is in the investigation system, as you have more gadgets you get to do more, but not only do you have to uncover stuff you now have to give your theories to the person on the other end, and it makes you feel more and more like you are in a CSI episode, and to be completely truthful I find this to be the strongest part of the game. This time around I get to do this in waves, as soon as some people start attacking though I have so many combos I have to remember, and as a result the amount of frustration builds and then you miss the beauty of the game. I think they over did it, I liked how the attacking in the first were simple and that I was able to focus on the eerieness that was happening around me. 1 behind a shelf in the first area (you can spot it if you stick along the left wall) 2 to the left at the 3-way intersection near a medicine cabinet. At first the game play reminds you a lot of the first. To be blunt, I had a blast and wanted to check out the sequel, Condemned 2: Bloodshot. A game with flaws, but what it wanted to do it did so well that it was easy to over look the flaws. Sadly though I think that it turns into a weak point for me. Condemned: Criminal Origins was a beautiful and heart-pounding scary game. Overall this game is as solid as the first game, the developers say that they put a lot more emphasis on the battle system, and it shows. For each different weapon, which can be almost anything in this installation, gives you a bit of a different thud when you connect with the enemies. The sounds are on par with the graphics and there's nothing like hearing sounds that could only mean trouble, but not knowing exactly where its coming from. As renegade special agent Ethan Thomas, you are society's last defense against the darkness threatening to consume us all.
